Day 1: Arrival in Tehran

Welcome to the bustling capital of Iran, Tehran. After your arrival, you will meet your guide at the airport, and then you will be transferred to the hotel for the chance to rest after your flight.

Day 2: Tehran, Marvel at the opulence of the Museums of the Capital

Today we are going to an exciting tour that takes us through different museums with divergent histories and strikingly different architectures. First, we will visit the mother of all of the museums in the country, the National Museum of Iran. After that, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Golestan Palace to see the stunning synthesis of Iranian and European architecture along with inimitable tiling in a pleasant surrounding, which carries the memories from the Qajar era. Later, we will have a visit to the paradise of jewelry, the Treasure of National Jewels, where the extravagant jewelry of the world and Iran are kept and displayed. Our last visit will be a visit to one of the modern architectural magnum opuses of the capital, the Tabi’at Bridge. Surrounded by picturesque parks and vast on two sides, this bridge offers stunning views of Tehran while providing us with an uplifting breath of pristine air.

Day 3: Tehran-Hamadan, Explore the Cradle of Civilization

Leaving Tehran today, we drive to the capital of history and civilization, the city of Hamadan, in the west of the country. After our arrival, our adventure in Hamadan begins with visiting one of Nature’s miracles called the Ali-Sadr Cave. In order not to waste a second, keep your eyes peeled to see the marvelous stalactites and stalagmites that have astonished its visitor for years. We then drive back to the city of Hamadan to visit one of the Jewish Pilgrim Sites in the world, the Tomb of Ester and Mordechai. Afterward, we will catch a glimpse of the Media’s glory by visiting the old city of Ecbatana.

Day 4: Hamadan-Khorramabad, Meander through Distinct Scenic Attractions

This morning we will visit the Mausoleum of Avicenna, an Iranian polymath, to see the unique tomb among a beautifully tended garden as well as a library connected with this prominent Iranian figure. Once we hit Hamadan, we depart to Lorestan Province. On our way to the land of cascading waterfalls, Khorramabad, as we drive through the pristine nature, you will be glued to the windows watching the sightly sceneries of the surrounding. After arrival in Khorramabad, we will visit the Falak-ol-Aflak Castle which sits on the top of a hill and is one of the memorial structures of the Sassanid era. Along with the unique and traditional architecture, you can also have a glance at the ancient times by visiting the museum of archeology and anthropology of this castle. After that, the best way to end today’s tour is with sightseeing one of the bird watching paradises of Iran, the Keeyow Lake, in the heart of the sprawling city of Khorramabad.

Day 5: Khorramabad- Susa, Explore Lorestan, Past, and Present

We embark on our today’s tour by visiting Gerdab-e Sangi which is a historical stony whirlpool in Khorram Abad. The Lorestan Province is gifted with lots of must-see natural sights that we will visit one of these natural scenes named the Zal River. Later, we will journey into the Khuzestan Province for knock-out views of the highlights and getting acquainted with the rich history of this region. When we reach the historical city of Susa, we will visit the first UNESCO World Heritage Site, the well-known Chogha Zanbil Ziggurat to have the opportunity to explore this unique construction of the Elamites Kingdom. Lastly, we will head further to the city of Dezful to stay for one night.

Day 6: Susa-Ahvaz, Experience the Timeless Attractions of the Past Times

Returning to the historical city of Susa, today we will visit Susa that is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Iran. Next up, the Tomb of Daniel, which is considered as the emblem of Susa, is waiting for us with open arms. After that, weather and season permitting, we will pour some color on the agenda and take in the beauties of the Bakhtiari Nomads’ lifestyle. You cannot wipe the smile off your face after watching the Bakhtiari’s colorful costumes, gentle-hearted nomads, and listening to the Bakhtiari’s music and melody that rings with the wind at the heart of green nature. Afterward, we will visit the Susatar Historical Hydraulic System, UNESCO World Heritage Site, to get familiar with the incredible ancient Engineering of Iranians. Lastly, we drive to Ahvaz, the city of lamp-lit bridges, to stay for a night.

Day 7: Ahvaz- Shiraz, Passing through the Sassanid era

This morning we will start hitting the roads to reach Shiraz, but en route, we will stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the old city of Bishapur which has a lot to tell us about the Sassanid era. Lied close to Bishapur, the Tang-e-Chogan gorge is the next attraction that we will visit which is known as the unexampled treasure of Sassanid bas reliefs. We, then, will drive to Shiraz, a city where love flows.

Day 8: Shiraz, a Full-day touring of a City Where Love Flows

Open the window of your room and breathe the fresh air of Shiraz. Culture, nature, literature, pleasure – Shiraz is yours! We will take you to a picture-perfect setting called the glamorous Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque. You can get in the spirit of things by watching the colors dancing in this Pink Mosque. Next, we will have a short journey to the Persepolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is sitting majestically on the foot of a mountain and carrying the memories from the Achaemenian Empire that if you can find words to describe its artistic and architectural greatness, we applaud you. Afterward, we will pay a visit to the Naqsh-e-Rostam or Necropolis near the Persepolis which is host to the tombs of four of the powerful Achaemenian kings cut at the heart of rock cliffs. We go back to the romantic city of Shiraz to find literature vibes in proximity to the Tomb of Hafez, the prominent Persian poet. Take your time to roam the areas of the tomb while traditional music is played all over the garden, and some groups of people are gathered to read Hafez’s poem.

Day 9: Shiraz-Yazd, To the Sweet Paradise of Yazd

Shiraz! You have been wonderful. Moreover, now, we are off to the richly multicultural city of Yazd – UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before leaving the Fars Province, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site that once used as the capital of the Achaemenid Empire, the Pasargadae. We continue our journey to the city of Abarkuh, which is home to the four-thousand-year Cypress, one of the oldest trees in the world. In this city, we will go to visit the Ice Reservoir, which is known as the strangest architectural elements of Iran. Later, we will continue our way to visit the medieval village of Taft where the reddish-colored and sweet-taste pomegranates have pretty up every corner of the place. We will, then, visit the Nartitee eco-lodge, which is a traditional house that has a taste of fire and aroma of fresh bread, as they say. After visiting these beauties, you will be allured before we even reach the first adobe city in the world, Yazd.

Day 10: Yazd-Isfahan, Under the Skin of the First Adobe City in the World

Yazd, the back-in-time city, is our host today for exploring its main highlights. Our first port of call will be a visit to the Zoroastrian’s Dakhmeh or the Silence Tower that its concept is interlocked with the concept of death. Afterward, we will go to the Zoroastrian Fire temple also named the Atashkadeh-e Yazd where a fire is burning for years in a building decorated with the sentences from the Avesta among a garden full of lofty cypress and pine trees. Then, we will visit the beating heart of Yazd, the Amir Chakhmaq Complex including a square as the core part of the complex surrounded by a mosque, Tekyieh, bazaar, and water reservoir or Ab-Anbar that will never fail to charm the visitors. After that, the old maze of quiet streets of the Fahaadaan neighborhood awaits us, with which you will fall in love. Lastly, we will drive to Isfahan to spend the next days unveiling its history.

Day 11: Isfahan, Delve into the Streets Bursting with Heritage

Isfahan is a city blessed with rich culture and extraordinary architectural masterpieces that we will uncover today. Our tour in Isfahan kick off with visiting the main attraction of the city, the Naqsh-e-Jahan Square – UNESCO World Heritage Site, where every morning the dappled sunlight caress the brow of the ancient buildings from the Safavid era and shine over the mosaics ornaments of the monuments to create a charming scene for the visitors. Here, we will visit the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, the Royal (Imam) Mosque, the Qeysarieh Bazaar, and the Ali Qapu Palace that all together will make you want to revisit this city time and again. Crafts lovers will be in handicrafts utopia around the square as hundreds of shops sell the unique crafts of the city. Close to the square sits another UNESCO World Heritage called the Chehel Sotoun Palace that we will visit afterward. Exquisite paintings and miniature, twenty towering pillars, an atmospheric garden, and the azure pool will make this place a destination to be remembered. After that, we will visit the beautiful historical bridges over the Zayanderud River. The Shahrestan Bridge, the Joubi Bridge, and the most beautiful ones the Si-o-Se Pol Bridge, and the Khaju Bridge with their artistic values and spellbinding beauties never fail to impress, regardless of the first or the fiftieth visit.

Day 12: Isfahan, Dig Deep into the Ancient Times

Isfahan, we are not done with you yet! Today, we will spring out of bed for exploring more corners of this spectacular city. We start with visiting the Pigeon Tower with a unique architecture where was used as the home of thousands of pigeons. We, then, will visit the showstopping Jameh Mosque of Isfahan, a World Heritage Site, to witness the beautiful architecture remained from years ago. Later, we will go to see the prettiest Church in Iran, the Vank Cathedral in Jolfa Quarter. Witness the undeniable striking paintings and immerse yourself in the depth of color of the patchwork of Iranian and Armenian architecture. At last, we will polish off our journey in Isfahan with strolling along the Bazaar, where you will find a jambalaya of different sort of souvenirs.

Day 13: Isfahan-Tehran, Soak up the Last Dose of Iran

Wake up early in the morning, pack your bags, and bid a fond farewell to the city of Isfahan. We head to Tehran today, but a drive from Isfahan to Tehran will not be complete without stopping in the red ruby of the desert, the village of Abyaneh. Made of mud and clay in the stepped architectural plan evoking the feeling of the ancient times, this is the place you will never forget. After that, we will continue to Kashan to pay a visit to the Fin Garden – UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along with visiting the historical monument and its museum, we will enjoy the miracles of the dancing fountains among the glorious garden. At last, we will drive to the Imam Khomeini international airport for the departure flight.
